Prophetic Details Regarding the Antichrist

In keeping with the Lord's command to be watchful for his return (and the events that will proceed it) below is a listing of prophetic details that are provided in the scripture regarding the Antichrist. The list is sorted into categories according to the kind of information that is provided. Some repetition exists because some descriptions are applicable to more than one category. The categories of this list are not intended to be chronological, but instead overlap one another in terms of time frame.

It originally indicated the Phoenicians only, but later it came to generally designate the islands and coasts of the Mediterranean and the races that inhabit them, including Cyprus. As such it is very similar to the references to Tarshish. The religion of the ancient British islands much resembled this ancient worship of Baal, and may have been derived from it.")
