314 End Times Prophecy (Eschatology)

Correspondence of Visions Diagram
This diagram shows the correspondence that occurs between the visions recorded in Daniel 2, Daniel 7, Daniel 8, and Revelation 12, 13 and 17. As such it is an illustrated version of our Apocalyptic Comparison Chart (Apocalyptic Comparison Chart.) We hope that showing the correspondence between these visions in both textual and visual formats will help make comprehending these symbols easier.

In the diagram below each horizontal layer is a different color. The images from these chapters are presented in four boxes from left to right showing the correspondence of the images presented in each passage. Images that are the same color and in the same horizontal layer therefore are representing the same entity (or kingdom). More ancient time periods are near the top of the diagram proceeding through the sixth empire, which was ancient Rome. From there the time changes from the past to the future indicating that the final time period of kingdoms is yet to come.

Notice that the first two heads of the beast from Revelation 12, 13, and 17 do not have any correspondence to the other visions. That is because these two empires are not represented in the Book of Daniel, which provides information about the succession of these empires from the time of the Babylonian kingdom forward. On the other hand Revelation does count these two additional empires as a part of the series of seven kingdoms and places them among the five that had come and gone before ancient Rome.

Also note that we have included the second beast from Revelation 13 below the lion, bear, leopard, and ten-horned beast in Daniel 7. This was done to better display its place among these beasts as representing the fifth kingdom in their succession. This fifth kingdom is presented to us first as the the kingdom of clay from the feet and toes of the statue from Daniel 2. Represented as a two-horned beast this empire is indicated in Daniel 2 and Revelation 13 and 17 to occupy the final time period before Christ's return, co-existing with the revived Roman kingdom for 42 months. This second and two-horned beast of Revelation 13 is the empire headed by the False Prophet, the seventh head of the beast of Revelation 12:3, 13:1-3, and 17:3-11, and the kingdom of clay from the feet and toes of the statue from Daniel 2.
