During
the introductory section of this series of articles, we wrote out a list of some
of the false doctrines that can generally be found in the Charismatic Movement
as a whole and in the Faith Movement more specifically. Having discussed in detail
the history of the charismatic gifts, the illegitimacy of modern gifts, and the
theories surround why the gifts passed, we will now move on to examine other specific
doctrines. It should be noted that most of these doctrines pertain to the Faith
Movement branch within the Charismatic Movement and do not necessarily relate
to the Charismatic Movement as a larger category. Furthermore, these
doctrines do not specifically involve gifts even thought they are driven by some
of the same basic philosophically driving the theology behind the modern gifts.
In other words, these are false doctrines within the Faith Movement that do not
involve the charismatic gifts. In our discussion of these topics, we will do our
best to be as brief, complete, and to-the-point as possible. The doctrines
that we will cover in the following sections include: 1) Kenotic
Theology 2) The Anointing and Being Under Authority 3) Sickness
and Healing 4) Prayer, Asking and Receiving 5) Material
Wealth 6) "Rhema" vs. "Logos" Word of God | |
